THE CHARLESTON COAST

Where Coastal Living
Comes Together

A half hour from downtown Charleston, the coastline breaks into a string of barrier islands. Some are gated and quiet, given over to marsh and maritime forest. Others are proper beach towns, with dinner and a boat ramp a short walk from the sand.

We keep homes on all four — so the question is not whether we have something, but which island suits the week you have in mind.
ISLAND BY ISLAND

Four Coastlines, Four Moods

DESTINATION ONE

Kiawah Island

Miles of Atlantic beach, maritime forest, and some of the most celebrated golf on the eastern seaboard. Kiawah is gated, unhurried and deliberately low-key — deer on the verges at dusk, bicycles instead of cars, and the ocean never more than a short path away.

Championship golf
Wide, quiet beach
DESTINATION TWO

Seabrook Island

Seabrook keeps to itself. A private, wooded island where the marsh meets the sea — two golf courses, an equestrian centre, and beaches you can walk for an hour without meeting anyone. The pace is set by the tide, not the calendar.

DESTINATION THREE

Wild Dunes

A resort community on the north end of Isle of Palms — golf, tennis and beachfront homes gathered behind the gate. Wild Dunes suits families and groups who want the beach, the courts and dinner all within a short walk or a golf-cart ride.

DESTINATION FOUR

Isle of Palms

The liveliest of the four. A proper beach town with restaurants, shops and a boat ramp — close enough to Charleston for dinner downtown, far enough that the days still feel like holiday.
